Gnosall Dental was established in 1975. Over this time the practice has enjoyed steady growth. The practice is housed within a gorgeous cottage building dating from 1849 on the high street of Gnosall Village. The practice itself is a highly modern surgery with the latest in equipment and digital x-ray facilities.

The practice is made up of the principal dentist Channa Herath, The hygienist Karen Rawles, The nurses Carol Hulme and Samantha grube and the receptionists Ruth Lory and Emma Duke.

Channa_HerathThe principal dentist Channa Herath (BDS) originally hails from Sutton Coldfield. He has studied biomedical science at Durham University and took a Masters in Neuroscience at Bristol University. In 2000 he went to sunnier climbs in Australia and Studied Dentistry at The University of Sydney. He then worked in private practice in Australia but in 2009 returned to the UK after missing the British lifestyle. On his return Channa practised at Chipping Norton dental implant centre and in 2012 he married his wife and they both decided to settle back in the midlands, whereby channa took the step to take over Gnosall dental and continue its outstanding care with friendly service.

Channa is passionate about his dentistry and is committed to providing his patients with the best possible care. He welcomes the chance to build a caring and genuinely friendly relationship with patients. He is determined in his quest to make gnosall dental a centre of excellence in dentistry and is always pushing himself forward to improve his knowledge in the ever-changing world of dentistry. Channa makes it his priority to make the patient feel calm and relaxed while in the surgery and will provide stress feel dental care for yourself and your family.

Ensuring your mouth stays spotlessly clean and completely free from plaque is the remit of our hygienist Karen Rawles. After a session with Karen your mouth will fell unbelievably clean and fresh. She will teach you how to keep your mouth healthy between visits and free from bacterial plaque that contributes to decay, gum disease and bad breath.

Our team of dental nurses will make sure every visit is calm, relaxed and stress free. They play a major role at the practice and are responsible for maintaining our strict cross infection controls to ensure patients and the clinical team are fully protected. We have two nurses Carol Hulme and Samantha Grube.

Ruth Lory and Emma Duke are the friendly face’s that will greet you on entering Gnosall dental and they are in charge of making sure the practice and staff are all running smoothly. Patients soon become familiar with their courteous attitude always making them feel welcomed and at ease.
